In the first six months of the year, total export value reached USD 1.1 billion, up 12% year on year. Growth was driven mainly by China and CPTPP markets, while exports to the United States and Brazil continued to decline.
In June, Pangasius exports to China increased by 5% from the same period last year. In the first half of 2026, export value to this market reached USD 299 million, a strong increase of 35% from the same period in 2025. Accounting for 27% of total Pangasius exports, China remained the largest destination in the first half of 2026 and played a key role in the industry's overall growth.
In contrast to the positive performance in China, Pangasius exports to the United States fell by 10% year on year in June. During the first six months, exports to this market totaled USD 167 million, down 5%, and represented 15% of Vietnam's total Pangasius export value.
Exports to Brazil fell by 12% year on year in June. In the first half of the year, export value to this market reached USD 88 million, down 6%, and accounted for approximately 8% of the total. The United States and Brazil therefore remained the two most notable weak points in the first-half export picture.
